‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’ This was a line I came across as a child and it has stuck with ever since. My experience expands over varied sectors in social development and I am a staunch believer in the importance of a ‘Head, Heart, Hand’ approach to working in the social impact space. My previous work experiences, including my work in the hospitality industry taught me how to ‘feel’ and ‘do’, whereas my time at SDA Bocconi and Cornell taught me how to take the learnings of a business course and use it to ‘think’ about the development sector. Sustainability is the key to our future and I am an advocate of the same.
