Addressing Implicit Bias Through Mindfulness Among Service Providers
Bias is one of the root causes of racial hate and disparities in our society. It is important to remember that bias is a learned habit, and it contributes to global racial disparities that have catastrophic effects for marginalized communities. Mindfulness is a successful way to impact implicit assumptions and bias as it’s proven to interrupt the link between past experience and impulsive responding.
Research shows that bias contributes to global social disparities that have catastrophic effects for marginalized communities. Through this program we will help you build skills to transform unconscious bias in a generative, open, and honest way, opening the door to an equitable world where everyone belongs. Our goal for this program is to create an impact at a system level and develop mindfulness ambassadors who can continue to spread the practice of mindfulness in their communities.
