Mindfulness and Racial Justice

As suffering and disruption mount,  this workshop will guide practices and facilitate discussion focused on ways of bringing mindfulness and compassion while exploring social identity-based bias and living in awareness of our common humanity. When we’re grounded in intentional commitments to our personal mindfulness practice and related ethics, we transform our interactions with those around us, we see the roots of our problems more clearly, and we bring a more compassionate approach to diversity and inclusivity work. We become more aware of how we have been unable to see the suffering of others, even as we seek to correct the injustices we see and live with in the world.  We deepen awareness of ways that our lived experiences may be profoundly different when compared to those of others; and also rooted in our inherent interconnectedness with one another.
